Alright you twits…once and for all I am not getting married, and I am not proposing to anyone. I mean…who would I propose to?! There’s no damn girl in my life. Not one worth a platinum setting with bling diamond anyways. So…relax, chill out…STOP SENDING ME EMAILS and IM’s telling me ‘Marriage is a mistake.’ or ‘You better not be doing what I think you’re doing.’

That girl may pop into my life tomorrow, but don’t worry…you all will know before she does if I plan on proposing. I mean I ask random questions all the time, if I ask, “How much beer do you think I can fit in my trunk?” You guys wouldn’t think I’m a alcoholic. If I ask, “Does a sex change operation hurt?” You guys don’t think I’m seriously thinking about turning female. If I say, “I’m so hungry I can eat a horse.” You don’t really expect me to eat a horse. So…I ask a simple question about diamonds the other day and you all think I’m getting hitched.

I’m not. Not even close. There happy? o.O

-Wallace

ps. Thanks for all your concerns, I laughed at a few of your emails…but seriously. it was just a question. (and that question was not, ‘will you marry me?’)

and the whole thing that spawned that question…Tobias Wong’s Diamond Project 2004 and to understand his designs you will have to understand the artist, Tobias Wong. peace out.

Had a pretty interesting weekend, I was so tired Friday that I did not wake up until around 10am Saturday…completely missing Glendy’s graduation ceremony. Go Wallace. However I was able to make the bbq in deep south San Jose. So far and so hidden I swore I was half way to Gilroy. Good seeing them again, it’s been a good long while. Either way, she made it so congrats! Also thanks to Will, Andrew, and Jordan for opening up their abode and Will for cooking as always. The alasken crab was quite a sight. Absolutely delicious as well, I’m going to have to try and make that ginger crab sometime.

A few other interesting tidbits from last week…I’ve gotten more compliments then anything, people have called me everything from ‘you are so humble’ to ‘you’re like an angel, I wouldn’t know where I’d be without you.’ I’m not sure where they’re getting their bias or ideas from…but it sure beats, ‘you’re such an asshole’ or ‘Wallace, stop being a jerk.’ Hey…I guess I can be nice. Do you believe it?

I ended up buying 3 England Jackets, a matching pair of Adidas and a Puma version. I discovered Soccer.com, another money pit I’m sure. GO ENGLAND!!!! GO BECKHAM!!!! GO ROONEY!!!!

Ok…so what is there to look forward to this week? Nothing really, I’m just biting my lip till Saturday. We’ll be starting Skyline-To-The-Sea. A pack of 12, should be a welcome break and seperation from daily life. I’m excited.

In the lyrical words of Office from their song ‘wound up,’ “Let’s go to the beach tonight, with a bottle wine. Baby it’s a lot harder to stay in when you’re wound up so so tight. Here’s to you and here’s to me.” A night out on the beach with a person you enjoy. sun setting, swells cresting, bare feet in warm sand, a bottle of wine and two wine glasses touching. Now that sounds like a great evening.

It’s Friday night and I’m sitting here updating and chatting with a guy that goes by ‘honkthehonkie,’ yes he is white. We’re talking about Arizona and architecture. I’m sitting here barely able to keep my eyelids from falling, so why am I so tired? Earlier today we had a late notice lunch at Pyramid Alehouse in Berkeley. Northern California Europrojektz has been pretty inactive, but I’ll have to say…I didn’t attend this lunch for Europrojektz’s sake, we’ve become more then team members up here, they have truely became some of my most dependable friends. Jay, Chance, Justin, Ryan, Brooks, and Curtis stirred things up at Pyramid then checked out Ryan’s new S4 and Chance’s new A6 in the parking lot. Both gorgeous looking cars, I’m hoping I’ll have a new project soon…that 4.2l v8 motor sounds sooooo good.

Curtis over dinner informs me of a new Adidas store on telegraph. No shit? I thought to myself…the last time I’ve walked into a Adidas corporate store was in Georgetown, this was an oppertunity I could not pass up. I made my way there after lunch and this place is dangerous for my wallet, tread lightly…this place is worse then the puma store or even kid robot! It was good thing I liked the offerings they had for women more then the men’s. The old school japanese inspired jacket was a favorite of mine, and the new location specific track jackets. pimp.

I trolled over the rest of Berkeley and the Cal campus. Wow. So much as changed, so many new stores, new architecture, and faces. Berkeley has been on a general up trend, however the one area I noticed was while girls across the nation become better looking and genetically altered. I mean…do highschool girls look like the girls you went to high school with? I thought not. The female population of Cal has well…not dropped, but the quality control actually got worse! I guess Berkeley is where the buffalo run free. Other then that the street florists are comparable to the finance district of San Francisco, Ameoba and Rasputin are two of my favorite record stores, and the new Adidas store…they finally did something right. I definitly want to come back in the near future.

Message: this past saturday, I leave for a few minutes to go get more hooch at the store, after I picked up the keg for the party and he starts humping my friends dag. this guy brought his camera so started filming it.

When I got back, he was humping teh dags face..that was some funny stuff.

I’ve been thinking about the Volkswagen GX3 for awhile now, and although it’s currently only a design study/concept car at best they are thinking about putting it into production. If the production version is anything like the concept, and if they keep the price point around the projected $17,000, I am definitely on the list. The car in the last row is Mercedes Benz’s Carving Concept, tagged ‘F400.’ It also looks very promising, although I do not believe they will put this into production it gives some insight to where the future of their current SLK is moving toward. Although I *heart* VW, Mercedes is making some very bold statements and I really like the direction they are moving toward. The widebody CLK-DTM and slew of AMG vehicles is just an orgy of automobila. The latest in the AMG line up is the special edition SLK, it’s the AMG SLK55 but with even more balls.

So, why am I attracted to these things? I believe it is because they are affordable*, gas efficient, and has all the fun of a motorcycle without all the risks. Bottomline is they look practical as a city sprinter and a whole lot of fun.

In other news…I’m stuck on Gnarles Barkley’s new Song, “Crazy”

I remember when
I remember
I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions have an echo and so much space
And when you’re out there, without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn’t because I didn’t know enough
I just knew too much
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly.
And I hope that you’re having the time of your life
But think twice
That’s my only advice
Come on now
Who do you
Who do you, who do you
Who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha, bless your soul.
You really think you’re in control?
Well…I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy, just like me!
My heroes had the heart
To live their lives out on a limb
And all I remember
Is thinking, I wanna be like them
And ever since I was little
Ever since I was little, oh, it looked like fun
And it’s no coincidence I’ve come
And I can die when I’m done.
But maybe I’m crazy.
Maybe you’re crazy.
Maybe we’re crazy.
Probably.

-Gnarles Barkley

How could you not love those lyrics?

*I know this is a poor argument, ‘affordability’ is ambiguous.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Sunny and Lauren, and a even longer while since I’ve seen Keith. I ended up agreeing to attend their bonfire south of Santa Cruz at Sea Cliff Beach. Kim who I just met on Friday came along, she’s buying a townhouse next to Christine and Fred. Her origins are Native American and Scottish, however her last name is ‘Scott’ and the story that explained how she got this last name was even more interesting.

Her Grandfather who is Navajo had a traditional Indian name, however one day in class a bully snatched him by his legs and swung him around like something out of a cartoon. His cranium ended up meeting a concrete beam in full swing and that sent him into a comatose state, the hospital staff not knowing his name nor his origins ended up naming him after his pediatrician at the time. ‘Little Doc Scott’ was his new moniker. Six to seven months after he woke up and everyone was calling him by his new name, when it came time to register his information his new name was ‘Doc Scott’ and his parents ‘Mary and Joseph.’ A couple genereations later Kimberly Scott came to be.

The night consisted of fantastic planning and cooking on Megan’s part. We also made grilled peaches again, and as usual shared laughs, stories, memories and created new ones. A really chill night, and a bright sunny Father’s Day morning.

Even though we don’t always see eye to eye, my father’s there to support and help me through life. He’s brought me up since I opened my eyes, always picked me up when I fell, and is always between myself and danger. Dedication and integrity are the two traits of a true father. Dedication to his wife, his children, his family and the integrity to always take the high road and lead by examle. I know dealing with and having to raise two sons is more then just a handful, so thanks for being there pops. Happy Father’s Day.

It’s 1am and not only am I not intoxicated, but I’m also not hungry! Strange huh? However due to a unforseen case of insomnia (Thanks Boebs, I’m going to blame this on you), I am wide awake and pounding on my keyboard. This week has pretty much flown by, which means I got a lot of stuff done. This lending money thing so people can buy real estate thing is finally picking up and I’m going in the direction I want to head in. Working with and only associating with honest, up front, and proper folk. No sheninagans here! But…if you do want to talk sheninagans…a few of us went out and messed with cameras in Cupertino I believe this past Tuesday night, there’s me imitating Banksy’s ‘Fallen Angel,’ posing in front of the pool at Cupertino City Center (which just so happens to look like I’m doing something else, I assure you I am not), and doing a poor version of the drift touge pose thing in my garage. Aside from all this great exciting fun, I found my paper bag photoshop layer (I accidently deleted this over a year ago on a old computer)!!!! I can not express how great this thing is, it makes ugly people look like average people and average people into runway models! Ok…so I did stick it on Rose, the photo just screamed ‘PICK ME!!!,’ so going with my nature, I had to oblige. Besides…look at her in the mirror…the mirror’s not shattered and two’s always better then one right? Alright…I really don’t know what I’m talking about now…it’s time for OMGHI2BED!!!

night…eh…morning…eh. whatever. folks.

As a new testiment to my alcoholism, the sun woke me up on Saturday then Sia proceeds to text me. I realize that I’m still drunk. As my only defense at the moment I hide under my covers and attempt to fall back asleep. The heat from the sun is too hot and my phone keeps going off, I give up. Time to grab a bottle of water. The walk downstairs…wow what a journey that was, have you ever tried to play jenga drunk? It’s just about as difficult except if you fall it’s not as funny. Alright…now you’re thinking, “As a responsible friend, I am going to send Wallace some AA pamphlets.” Please don’t, I’m not an alcoholic as much as my life revolves beverages with the words ‘brewed’ and ‘distilled’ on the labels I am perfectly fine with out them (for short periods of time). Now you must be thinking, “Great…Wallace is in denial.” Well…I guess I can’t argue with you there, if I say, “no,” I lose and if I say, “yes,” I’m a alcoholic. The answer to alcohol is more alcohol…so let me know when you want to drink. Come fight my alcoholism with me.

Saturday night was my Grandfather’s 80th birthday dinner, it’s frightening how fast people age and time flies when you don’t see them. Anyways…good to see that granpops is still alive, kicking, and apparently from the photos I have makes one mean toast. 80 years. Wow…a true testiment of existence, where will you…or I be at that age? You know what…I can’t even see that far so I’m not going to spend time right now pondering what I’ll be doing at 80.

Oh…so I did not elaborate what else happened Friday. During the day I had to get my vein poked for more life insurance policies, it was convenient to give blood in the process so after 3pm I have given a little more then a pint of fresh O+ and due to my starvation and light headedness I decided to go visit that ramen joint by tin-tin market. This has nothing to do with anything, but Sia and I ended up going out that night with no expecations, we ended up binge drinking at Blowfish Sushi. Decanters full of nigori-zake, and beer. Wow…that was the end of us. I also got to meet Cyber Joe, a resident DJ at 1015 SF this night. Ken on the congos was the epitome though, that’s what got us into a alcohol induced euphoric state. ok ok…eneough alcoholism, you guys are really going to think I have issues. (More then I currently have anyways)

Sunday Zagi and I decided to try and catch some waves, in the process I obtained a puncture wound to the bottom of my right foot. Surfing with a open wound? Smart huh? Anyways…David and I used to look for Davenport everytime we were up around Santa Cruz in highschool…it’s ironic I finally figured out where it was. Yesterday. Hwy 1 was gorgeous and so was Skyline coming back. We ended up at a BBQ thrown by my cousin in Cupertino…random night, random weekend.

I think I’m going to reward myself by going shopping now.

Today is one of those days where I really just don’t want to do anything. My mind keeps wondering toward the beach, ocean swells, and sea breeze. I’m sitting at my desk right now and my mind is racing in a full blown adhd frenzy. So what else is new you might ask…well to tell you the truth…not a whole lot. I’ve just been drinking a copious amount of Guinness, and have a never ending itch to get out of the bay area. I’m not sure where I want to go though. Melinda wants me to vist her in Washington D.C., yet she’s studying for her GMAT’s. I want to catch up with Lewis and the rest of the EP guys in Vancouver B.C., maybe meet up with the east coast group in New York City, head down south to Orlando, FL where I can see Victor and Cindy’s new spread. I’d go to LA again…except I was just down there and in all honesty been there too much for no good reason. Not like I have a reason to go anywhere, but I feel cooped up here, I just want to spread my wings and get away from it all once in awhile.

ok. rant over.

In other news I just ‘finalized’ my watermark, what do you think? You got a better catch phrase for me? Most of the photos above were taken over the span of the last 20 days. Thanks to Gary again for the fantastic wine, it went amazingly well with the Schaffenberger chocolate. A combination that kept Larry awake till 6am.

oh one more thing…Yih showed me something today called ‘Sam Adams Utopia’ supposed to be the best damn beer you can sip, and at $110-120/per bottle it better be, as the vintage stuff goes for over $200 on ebay. $200 for beer?! You have to be crazy right? Well…leave it up to Brooks to define crazy, our gtalk log below:

Brooks Wiley: u had that utopia stuff?
wchane: no…but after reading about it, i want some.
Brooks Wiley: looks good
Brooks Wiley: xmas is right around the corner ya know
Brooks Wiley: u find it..we’ll both pay for it.and we both drink the whole thing
Brooks Wiley: quickly
wchane: in the parking lot like true alcoholics no doubt

So…if you come across this stuff please let me know. I want at least 3 bottles if it’s THAT good.

Then I also have Sia who won’t leave me alone about this girl…

Sia Bani: dude
Sia Bani: you HAVE to piilsb

You figure out ‘piilsb’
